With the SimpleTalk plugin, FileMaker can use various Internet protocols (TCP, UDP, DICOM) and Bluetooth Low Energy to communicate with other solutions, applications, and peripherals.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

Enhanced Security with TLS
SimpleTalk now supports secure internet connections. A SimpleTalk server can be configured to use an SSL certificate, allowing clients to verify its identity and establish a trusted connection.
This is especially important if you intend to send sensitive data, such as usernames and passwords, over the connection.
Faster Communication with UDP
SimpleTalk 4.0 adds support for UDP messaging. With this simple Internet protocol, your solution can send packets to a single target or broadcast them to multiple devices.
Create a UDP server in FileMaker and receive data from other machines over a local network or the Internet.
Medical Imaging (DICOM)
With DICOM Modality Worklist support, SimpleTalk is also suitable for hospitals and medical imaging facilities.
