Users of an internal FileMaker application needed a faster and smoother process for assigning tasks, approving items, or changing record statuses. Originally, all confirmation messages for successful operations were displayed through dialog windows that had to be manually dismissed. This slowed down the work and disrupted the overall workflow.
With the capabilities of newer FileMaker versions, we implemented native macOS notifications using the Configure Local Notification function. The application now sends a system notification whenever a user performs an action such as assigning a task or completing part of a process. This notification appears directly in macOS as a push message without requiring any confirmation or interaction.
Thanks to this change, the entire task-handling process became faster, users are no longer interrupted by dialogs, and they can continue their work smoothly.
