Gonector 3.0 adds support for external cameras, Effon glove scanners, fast audio, and text-to-speech. Besides adding new features, we also optimized our existing code so that Gonector 3.0 can connect your devices much faster and is more responsive overall. We also added new examples and refurbished the old ones to help you get started.
Sound effects
With our functions, you can play a sound stored in a container: either once or in a loop. The sound plays in the background and does not stall your solution. You can pause or stop an active soundtrack, and even play multiple sounds at once!
For instance, you can implement a Geiger counter, with beep frequency changing based on proximity to a selected RFID tag.

Text-to-Speech
With the new Gonector_Speak function, your app can read out loud the contents of a text field or a variable. We support all Apple voices installed on your iPhone or iPad. You can select your language, and modify pitch, rate, and volume.

Compatible with Effon
Effon is a manufacturer of handy wearable scanners, and selected models (NS02, EF02) are now fully compatible with Gonector. You can:
- call FileMaker scripts on scanned barcodes
- trigger beeps and haptic feedback
- get useful information like firmware version and battery level

Capture photos with UVC cameras
With Gonector, you can now connect a UVC camera to you iPhone or iPad, take pictures and save them in FileMaker container.
Extended Zebra validation
Our product is newly officially compatible with the following Zebra hardware:
- Barcode scanners: RS2100, RS5100 and RS6100 Series
- Printers: ZQ600 Series
